Presidential love life
The University of Chicago President Robert Zimmer separated from his wife, who will continue to live in the president's house on campus, and is now dating a classics professor, The Chicago Maroon reports. Inside Higher Ed raises some questions about the situation: "How will conflicts of interest be resolved? How long will Zimmer's estranged wife remain in the presidential residence, where official university functions are still taking place? And, more broadly, how might Zimmer's own credibility be affected by his decision to date a professor on the campus?"
Foreign campus
New York University is adding guidelines to protect construction workers who will build the school's satellite campus in Abu Dhabi, a move Human Rights Watch is calling unprecedented, the Washington Square News reports. The guidelines guarantee basic labor protections: eight-hour days, voluntary and compensated overtime, health insurance and required proper paperwork. Construction is to begin later this year.

George Washington University's medical school was taken off academic probation by its accrediting body.
