Mario Lopez, host of “Extra” and the now canceled “H8R,” is engaged.
The actor forever known as A.C. Slater asked girlfriend Courtney Mazza to marry him over New Year’s weekend while vacationing in Mexico, he told Us Weekly.
“I've come to the realization that I'm never going to meet another woman as special and amazing as the one I have,” Lopez said on an episode of “Extra,” airing Wednesday.
The couple have a 2-year-old daughter, Gia. Lopez was previously married to model Ali Landry for two weeks.
This occasion seems like as good a time as any to check into the relationship statuses of the other “Saved by the Bell” cast members.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar, a.k.a. Zack Morris, is engaged after a divorce; Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski), Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle) and Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano) are married. And, I imagine, Screech and Mr. Belding are still together at Bayside High.
