Sure, you love Bjork. But do you love her $812 much? (AP Photo/Achmad Ibrahim)- Last holiday season we wrote about the trend of increasingly exorbitant box sets. Maybe that story came a year too early. Last week we mentioned a massive new
Smiths box set and this week brings news of two more enormous and outrageously expensive collections. One edition of Bjork’s upcoming “Biophilia” album is an
$812 box set that includes, among many other things, 10 chrome-played tuning forks. Then there’s the $629 version of U2’s “Achtung Baby” deluxe reissue. This one includes a whole bunch of CDs, vinyl, DVDs and a replica pair of Bono’s “The Fly” sunglasses. Isn’t the economy bad or something?
