Local news: Second Maxwell show at Verizon "rescheduled"

By Chris Richards

Promoters at Live Nation announced this morning that Maxwell's Verizon Center concert on Thursday, June 17 has been "rescheduled" for Baltimore's 1st Mariner Arena on Thursday, July 15.

The announcement cited "scheduling conflicts," but after the Eagles/Dixie Chicks/Keith Urban mega-concert at Nationals Park was recently axed for that same exact reason, we have a sneaking (and, at present, unfounded) suspicion that "scheduling conflicts" might actually be code for "didn't sell enough tickets."

Meantime, Maxwell's June 18 performance at the Verizon Center with Jill Scott is still a go. And if you bought tickets for the June 17 show, refunds are available at point of purchase. Tickets purchased online and by phone will be automatically refunded.
