Singles file: jj, Pygmy Lush, the Wealthy West

A weekly playlist for the listener with a one-track mind...

jj: “No One Can Touch Us Tonight”/“Ice”

The usually wintry Swedes serve up two springlike (and free) tracks for download.

Pygmy Lush: “January Song”

The Northern Virginia-based outfit continues its metamorphosis from hardcore to post-hardcore to gentle country-folk with this solid track from its new disc, “Old Friends.”

DJ Khaled featuring Lil Wayne, Drake and Rick Ross: “I’m on One”

Khaled specializes in overstuffed bangers, and this is no exception. It comes complete with a mellowed-outWeezy verse that’s one of his best post-penal offerings yet.

The Wealthy West: “Love Is Not Enough”

Rocketboys lead singer Brandon Kinder temporarily goes solo with this wry, Avett Brothers-recalling track.

Grinderman: “Mickey Mouse and the Goodbye Man” (Joshua Homme Remix)

We’re not sure how he did it, but the Queens of the Stone Age frontman makes Nick Cave sound even more ominous than usual on this sublimely twisted remix.
