Singles file: Pill, Kele, My Morning Jacket

By Allison Stewart

A weekly playlist for the listener with a one-track mind...

Pill: "Ok Denn"

The Atlanta rapper gets mellow, at least in a relative sense, on what is probably a cut from his long-promised, still mythical mix tape, "1140: The Overdose."

Kele: "Tenderoni"

Bloc Party singer Kele Okereke goes old-school techno on this new solo track, produced by Baltimore-bred DJ/Spank Rocker XXXchange.

(Jay Electronica gets an assist from Diddy, after the jump.)

Jay Electronica featuring Diddy: "The Ghost of Christopher Wallace"

We're not sure why Jay Elect asked Diddy to contribute to this fascinatingly ranty Biggie Smalls tribute, but as expected, Diddy spends his cameo flogging Cîroc ("A bottle of Cîroc will turn a private jet to Soul Plane"?) and generally behaving oafishly.

Rusko featuring Amber Coffman: "Hold On" (Sub Focus remix)

The dub-step star teams with the Dirty Projectors' Coffman (a.k.a. the Mariah Carey of Brooklyn indie rock) for this sublimely slinky number, which gets an even drum-and-bass-ier remix.

My Morning Jacket: "Friends Again" (live)

This is the best version we've heard yet of the band's recently debuted new track, which sounds of a piece with the finest moments on "Evil Urges."
