Action Bronson: “Contemporary Man”
Not only does Bronson dare to follow in the footsteps of Naughty By Nature, who similarly sampled “Sledgehammer” on their legendary (okay, maybe not legendary, but really good) ’93 track “Hip Hop Hooray,” he throws in a Charlie Sheen clip, a scatalogical rap and a “Sussudio” sample.
The Chieftains featuring the Pistol Annies: “Come All Ye Fair and Tender Ladies”
The country trio are at their least sassy on this traditional folk collaboration with the suddenly hip Chieftains, whose new disc will also feature contributions from Bon Iver and the Decemberists.
Scissor Sisters featuring Krystal Pepsy: “Shady Love”
Between releasing some of the most infectious tracks of 2011, beefing with Kreayshawn and just generally being kind of terrifying, rapper Azealia Banks found time to moonlight as Krystal Pepsy on this almost-kid-friendly new jam.
