Letting audiences know how long they have until the band takes the stage is a really great idea.

Week Ahead: Al Green hits town, Sade's long-awaited album

Al Green will help you get in a Valentine's Day mood. (Richard A. Lipski/TWP)

In concert: The obvious caveat here is that the remains of this weekend's storm and the effects of the upcoming storm may wreak some havoc, so always call in advance. It's a parade of legends at Constitution Hall - B.B. King and Buddy Guy share a bill on Thursday while Al Green is in town for a pair of pre-Valentine's Day shows on Friday and Saturday. Locals Title Tracks celebrate the release of their debut album "It Was Easy" at the Black Cat on Thursday. Zydeco favorite C.J. Chenier brings some cajun flavor to Arlington's Iota on Friday. The best concert you won't be able to get into? Wednesday's White House concert featuring Bob Dylan, Jennifer Hudson, the Blind Boys of Alabama and more.

In stores: It's been a full decade since her last album but Sade finally returns with "Soldier of Love." Chris Richards slobbers all over reviews in tomorrow's paper. Will "One Left Stand" be the commercial breakthrough for electro-pop group Hot Chip? Will "Heligoland" be a worthy addition to Massive Attack's impressive discography?

On TV: You can make it an all-Sade Tuesday - she'll be on "Letterman." If you find yourself at home on Friday night with nothing better to do than watch "Jimmy Kimmel," don't worry - Dashboard Confessional will be there to comfort you. Personal faves the Soft Pack will be on "Letterman" that same night.
