Week ahead: Mastodon embraces brevity; Prince Royce induces tears; Kylesa visit Carson

If you listen to one new release this week, make it: “The Hunter,” the new album from Georgia metal troupe Mastodon. The songs are shorter, but as strong as ever. Listen to a sample above and check Click Track tomorrow morning for the full review.

If you see one performance this week, make it: Bachata heartthrob Prince Royce when he opens for Pitbull and Enriqeue Iglesias at the Patriot Center Tuesday night. There will be sobs.

And if you stay up late to watch one performance on television this week, make it: The great Kylesa when the band visits “Last Call With Carson Daly” on Wednesday. (We’ve got Georgia metal bands on our mind.)
