Anne Arundel County homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man they found dead alongside a Laurel roadway early Friday morning.
Officers arriving at the 3300 block of Cranberry South about 5:30 a.m. found Roy Jackson, 41, of Laurel. Fire department personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. He had suffered apparent head trauma, according to a police news release.
Jackson has been taken to the chief medical examiner's office in Baltimore for an autopsy. Police are calling the death "suspicious," the news release said.
