A two-year-old boy was killed Saturday afternoon in Prince George’s County when he ran into the street and into a car, county police said.
The child was in the front yard of his home in t he New Carrollton section when “for unknown reasons” he ran into the street, said Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a police spokesman.
The incident occurred in the 6400 block of 85th avenue about 3 p.m. Copeland said.
It remained under investigation Saturday night, he said.
The child was not identified immediately.
