Authorities say a Virginia man has been charged with second-degree murder after shots he fired at a home killed a 7-month-old boy.
Pittsylvania County Sheriff Mike Taylor says Nikko Lemar King was arrested Sunday. The 21-year-old is accused of firing into a Gretna residence early that morning.
Taylor says the shots struck the infant, who was declared dead at the scene.
Taylor says King also faces a weapons charge for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. He's being held without bail at the Pittsylvania County jail and is due in court Tuesday.
It was unclear whether King has an attorney.
