Bryce Harper’s hair and stirrups

The best thing about Bryce Harper’s debut was his laser throw from left field to Wilson Ramos, a missile that should have preserved Stephen Strasburg’s shutout but for a bobbled ball at the plate.

The second-best thing about Bryce Harper’s debut was his rocket of a double to the base of the outfield wall, his first Major League hit and the kind of projectile that few Nationals batters can generate?

Third-best? The go-ahead RBI, earned with a hard line drive to left field in the top of the ninth.

Fourth place? His amazing stirrups, seen below.

A distant fifth? The hair.
