Morning pixels: Wizards and NBA draft night

It’s NBA draft night, and the Wizards have the No. 3 overall pick. It is widely assumed that New Orleans will take Anthony Davis with their first pick overall. Here’s what that means for the Wizards . . .

* Michael Lee breaks down the Wizards most likely options — Bradley Beal, Harrison Barnes and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

* Jason Reid, along with just about everyone, thinks the Wizards should take Bradley Beal.

* There have been rumors that the Wizards have had trade interest from other teams looking to move up in the draft. Ted Leonsis cryptically denies such rumors, calling it “disinformation”. But . . .

* OKC admitted to wanting to move up for Beal. And . . .

* Beal himself said that Denver has also expressed interest in moving up to get him. Disinformation everywhere!

Here’s what we do know for sure. The draft starts at 7:00 p.m., and it’s on ESPN.

BECAUSE YOU DON’T READ THE PAPER...

* The Nats won 11-5 last night. This is the first time since 2005 that the Nats have scored at least eleven runs in back-to-back games. Do we thank Denver’s thin air or the Rally Napkin?

* If you’re the golf sort, grab today’s paper for the special pull-out section chock full of info on the AT&T National in Bethesda. If you’re not the golf sort, check it out anyway. It has cool pictures.

TWEET OF THE NIGHT

TWEET OF THE NIGHT II

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
Michael Morse Tyler Moore on his simple approach to batting:

“I’m completely see-ball, hit-ball. I’m not up there trying to think about a curveball or anything like that. If you dumb it down for me, I’ll be at my best.”

WHAT TO WATCH TODAY
Nats at Rockies, 3 p.m. on MASN. Cleveland at Baltimore, 7 p.m. MASN2. NBA Draft at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN. All TV/Radio listings are here.

HURRY UP

Today’s the last day to vote for the MLB All-Star game. As of this posting, the Nationals don’t have any player even close to being voted in. That’s poor hustle, Nats fans.

REVELATION OF THE DAY

I used to trip up these exact same subway steps every day when I was in New York. Now I know why.

CAN IT UMPIRE A BASEBALL GAME?

This robot has a 100% win rate at Rock-Paper-Scissors.

OLYMPICS

This has been unveiled as the official song of the London Olympics. I don’t know why.
