I-66 West closing overnight

The Dulles Metrorail construction project plans to close westbound Interstate 66 at the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) overnight tonight, Friday and Saturday. The workers in this zone are building the large concrete structures, called straddle bents, that will cross the roadway between piers. This will carry the new line near its merge with the Orange Line.

Tonight's closing is scheduled for 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday's is scheduled for 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., and Saturday's for 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Westbound traffic on I-66 will be detoured to the Dulles Connector Road, then to Route 123 south toward Tysons Corner, to a right turn on to the ramp to the Capital Beltway south toward Richmond. Drivers can then rejoin I-66 from the Beltway.
