Your morning Metro ride

9 A.M. UPDATE: Another commenter reports packed cars at the Vienna station and relatively minor delays at about 7:40 a.m.

And riders, when you're heading home today, don't forget to report any issues, delays or headaches! E-mail us at transportation@washpost.com so we can get the word out to other commuters.

8:45 A.M. UPDATE: Two Metro riders reported uneventful trips. One on the Orange Line (and you're welcome, robva), the other on the Red Line. Keep your comments coming, commuters!

It's a scorcher out there, and it's only going to get hotter. For commuters taking the Metro, how were your trains this morning? Were they reasonably cool, or did you feel like you were in a subway car-shaped sauna? Let us know. Sound off in the comments section below, or e-mail us at transportation@washpost.com. And don't forget to share your pictures from your commute this morning!
