Pat Summitt will discuss her decision to step down as the winningest coach in NCAA basketball history in a press conference today at the University of Tennessee.
Assistant coach Holly Warlick will replace Summitt, who will become head coach emeritus of the women’s team she has led for 38 years. Last summer, Summitt announced that she had been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease.
[Quiz: Can you name the successors for these legendary coaches?]
The Post’s Sally Jenkins will be tweeting the press conference, starting at 1:30 p.m. EDT. (Follow her on Twitter or here, after the jump.)
