Not to be outdone by Amazon and its Kindle, Barnes & Noble announced that Nook owners with a subscription to the New York Times will also be able to go behind its new paywall for free.
The bookstore did not announce when owners of its e-reader will be able to access the Times’ online content, only that the feature is “coming soon” and that the company will notify users via e-mail when they will be able to access the paper’s Web site for free.
A subscription to the New York Times on the Nook costs $19.99 a month.
