TUESDAY
Five writers from the Young Playwrights’ Theater will have their works performed, with such themes as the struggles of a war veteran to a young woman’s battle with illness.
WEDNESDAY
DJs Andria Leo and Jenn Bress spin music created by women from all eras and genres as part of “Sugar and Spice.” Enjoy special Sugar and Spice cocktails for $5.
THURSDAY
Experimental videos chosen by electronic media artist Max Kazemzadeh and artist-writer Jonah Brucker-Cohen are screeened.
FRIDAY
Enjoy mimes, children’s activities, live music and more when part of Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown becomes a French market.
SATURDAY
The University of Maryland offers a wide range of tours, exhibits, demonstrations and other activities at its annual festival. Among this year’s guests is Elmo creator Kevin Clash.
SUNDAY
Local artist Jay Coleman teaches such portraiture techniques as perspective, modeling and proportional rendering.
