Give to the Max, support local arts

Thinking about Giving to the Max today? If you’re a fan of the arts in the D.C. area, this would be a good time to get your charitable giving on while supporting some of the institutions that make the area so entertaining.

Have you seen a paticularly good play recently, for instance? If you want to keep the good shows coming, this is when your contribution can do the most good, as the area’s nonprofit theaters, performing arts societies and indepedent companies rely heavily on patron contributions to meet their operating expenses.

Think about how much you’d like to donate (as little as $10 will do) and browse the list of the area’s participating arts and culture nonprofits, which includes many of the area’s theaters, museums, libraries and historical societies.

Prizes are given to the nonprofits that raise the most dollars and receive the most donors. The deadline to give is tonight at midnight.
