Take the kids this weekend: National Cathedral Children’s Christmas Pageant

Children's Christmas Pageant at Washington National Cathedral. (DONOVAN MARKS - DONOVAN MARKS) Children can dress as shepherds, angels or animals and participate in the National Cathedral’s annual pageant on Saturday celebrating the story of the birth of Jesus.

Those who wish to participate in the pageant should arrive in costume by 1:15 for a short rehearsal. The pageant will begin at 2 p.m. and last about an hour.

The free event will be at the cathedral, at Wisconsin and Massachusetts Avenues NW in the District. For information call 202-537-6200 or visit the cathedral’s Web site.
