A forgotten postcard finds its rightful home
A postcard, tucked away inside a used book and sold at the auction house Adam A. Weschler & Son in Washington, D.C., reunites a family and deepens a friendship.

Thomas L. McGovern found this penny postcard in a book he had purchased from the auction house Adam A. Weschler & Son. A colorful lithograph print entitled "Harbor Scene, Boothbay Harbor, Maine" is on the front of the postcard, which felt meaningful to McGovern because he and his family spent two weeks every summer in Maine at a beach house. He eventually framed the card.
