There were performances by legendary poet Amiri Baraka, civil rights activist Dick Gregory and one of NBC’s “The Sing Off” contestants “Afro Blue.” The relief team raised more than $6,000 and received a $1,000 donation from Gregory. All funds will be donated to CARE International.
