Northeastern Ohio, along the banks of Lake Erie, is a key segment of President Obama’s base in this critical swing state. Campaign volunteers around Cleveland are canvassing and driving voters to the polls to help Obama’s chances. But some supporters of the president are concerned that the excitement that propelled people to the polls in 2008 may have fizzled.
