Supporters watch from outside as reporters listen to Romney, who was holding a news conference at his campaign office in Jacksonville, Fla., in the wake of the killings of U.S. Embassy officials in Benghazi, Libya. In response to a statement by the U.S. Embassy in Cairo condemning “those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious belief of others,” which was issued before its compound was attacked, Romney said, “I think it’s a terrible course for America to stand in apology for our values, that instead when our grounds are being attacked and being breached, that the first response of the United States must be outrage at the breach of the sovereignty of our nation.”
